Handcrafted LED steel table lamp with adjustable arm and hinged neck for multiple lighting angles. Durable matte powder coated finish. Energy saving bulb. Made in northern Vermont since the 1940s. Also available in Floor Lamp. (
In the northern hills of Vermont, near the idyllic ski village of Stowe, a small family business has been creating high quality fixtures and lamps for over 60 years. This floor lamp is made from polished solid brass and durable powder coated steel, with a matte finish that fends off scratches and smudges. Originally designed to light up a grand piano music desk, the heavy, square base is a dependable, solid anchor so that you may adjust and maneuver the arm and lampshade to the height and angle that best illuminates your work, music, reading, or writing.
In 1947, Everett Bailey opened his custom lighting shop, selling mainly to department stores and small boutiques. Everett’s son, Norm Bailey, took over the company in 1960, naming it House of Troy and with a goal of making “the best picture lights available.” House of Troy was passed on to the Mitchell family in the 1980s. The business grew so much that manufacturing was moved to a barn that once also functioned as a dance hall and skating rink. Lamp making operations continue in that space to this day.
Clean with water and a soft cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or abrasives as this may damage the powder coated finish.
