Our vegetable tanned leather belt is cut, stitched, dyed, finished and waxed by hand in New York. Adjusts with a solid brass buckle cast in England. Comes in small, medium and large. Also available in Brown. (
Made of vegetable tanned bridle leather from J&E Sedgwick & Co of England, this hand cut and stitched belt was one of the first products offered by the Long Island-born, Astoria-based designer Andrew McAteer. It features gummed and burnished edges and an English cast solid brass buckle.
Stylish looped around a pair of jeans or dress pants, this leather belt takes you seamlessly from beach getaway to business lunch. If you’re caught in a downpour just hang up the belt to air dry (never use heat). Occasionally give the leather a light wax to replenish sheen and suppleness.
Andrew McAteer has been stamping his initials (AEM) into his leather work for as long as he can remember. Two years ago, when he couldn’t find any bags or accessories with the right proportions and features to suit his needs, he started developing his own line. The result: streamlined pieces made with ethically sourced and environmentally friendly materials. This belt, for example, lasts well past the season’s latest trends.
