Heat-resistant glass and stainless steel French press with olive wood finish. Double-wall construction keeps your coffee warm for longer. The French press method creates a full-bodied cup of coffee. Made in Japan since 1921. Holds 13 ½ fl oz. (
This olive wood, glass and stainless steel French press is made by Hario, a respected Japanese coffee and tea wares company initially founded in 1921 as a provider of glassware for laboratory and industrial use.
That same glass is used to create the double-wall construction of this French press, which helps to keep your coffee hot for longer. The handsome olive wood accents make this piece a welcome addition to your tabletop for daily breakfast or an after-dinner coffee.
Hand washing is recommended, but the item is suitable for the dishwasher as well.
Remove French press lid and place desired amount of ground coffee in the French press. Pour water into the carafe, leaving about an inch of room at the top for the lid. Stir coffee and water with a non-metal utensil, then place lid onto the top, with the filter and plunger all the way up.
Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes before pressing the filter down.
Hario was founded in 1921 to provide glassware to laboratories. In the 1940s, founder Hiromu Yasuhiro believed that their heatproof glass would work well for the growing coffee and café industry in Japan - and he was right.
Today, Hario remains one of the most respected producers of laboratory and coffee products. The company is run by the original founder’s son, CEO Sibata Yasuhiro.
