Four piece stainless steel cocktail set. Comes with three-piece cocktail shaker, strainer, bar stirrer, and double-sided measuring jigger. Made in Japan. All pieces also sold individually. Pair with our Cocktail Picks. (
This four-piece cocktail set has everything you need to be a consummate bartender and cocktail slinger (short of fine spirits, small-batch syrups and fresh citrus). Each piece is carefully designed, tested and created by a Japanese company who has been manufacturing stainless steel barware since the 1960s. The star of the cocktail set is the three-piece cobbler shaker, which consists of a mixing tin, a lid with a built-in strainer and a cap. The three-piece shaker is essential for the “hard shake,” a precise but flamboyant shaking technique innovated by legendary Japanese bartender Kazuo Uyeda, who has been tending bar in Tokyo since 1966. According to devotees of this method, the hard shake imparts a smoother textural component to a cocktail than a traditional shake.
The set is also complete with a long bar spoon for cocktails that require stirring instead of shaking. The coiled spring of the traditional Hawthorne-style cocktail strainer prevents ice from falling into your drink, while the small holes of the sieve, arranged in a modern T-shape design, filter out pulp or smaller chunks of ice. A double-sided measuring jigger helps you to get the correct proportions of ingredients.
All the pieces in this cocktail set are dishwasher safe.
Yukiwa was established in 1946, and originally specialized in tobacco pipes. In the 1960s, their focus was shifted to producing stainless steel barware and cocktail accessories. Each item they make goes through a rigorous design and testing process. During manufacturing, skilled employees check each finished product to ensure that they function smoothly and properly. Yukiwa’s workshop and offices are headquartered in Niigata, a locale known for stainless steel production. Niigata becomes blanketed in 6 to 7 feet of snow every season. In the Japanese language, “yuki” means snow, while “wa” means harmony.
