Stainless steel water kettle with thin, narrow spout designed for making pour over coffee. Wide bottom conducts heat quickly on gas or induction stovetop. Wood handle and knob stay cool to the touch. Made in Japan since 1955. (
Begin your morning with the slow, measured ritual of making a pour over coffee. This stainless steel kettle is specially designed to precisely pour water over a cone-style coffee maker. The long gooseneck spout and angled opening allows for greater control, so that you may pour precise circles over fresh coffee grinds for an aromatic cup of coffee. The wide bottom of the kettle efficiently conducts heat and boils water relatively quickly, while the natural wood handle and knob remain cool to the touch.
The stainless steel kettle was created by Aoyoshi, an award-winning maker of household goods since 1955. The business is headquartered in Tsubame, Japan, a city known for stainless steel and metal works, with a 200-year history of creating hammered copper items. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has added several of Aoyoshi’s spoons to their collection, and the firm has also received the prestigious Good Design Award of Japan. Aoyoshi uses machine technology is used to create uniformly shaped kettles, but the deft hands of skilled craftsmen are still required to finish each piece. Aoyoshi selected 18/8 stainless steel for this kettle because of its resistance to corrosion, meaning that your kettle will greet you each morning with a gleam, even after many years of daily use.
This kettle is dishwasher safe.
